Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez both were seen wearing sparkling right hand diamond rings that were a way that they choose to help the diamond industry with their backlash from The Blood Diamond Movie.

Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez wore their diamond encrusted right hand rings with pride because by wearing these rings, $10,000 was donated to at charity of their choice over in Africa. Similar approaches have been made to starlets that will be walking the red carpet at the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony. The goal behind celebrities wearing diamond jewelry is to show consumers that although that the war did happen in the Sierra Leone, it is okay to purchase and wear diamonds because the issues portrayed in The Blood Diamond have been dealt with appropriately and is no longer a problem and that today diamond support a large majority of educational, medical, and other funds for those that live in mining towns.
