Well-Known Diamonds
Almost anything that has been around for a while always has a fascinating story, legend, or curse that goes with it. The diamond is one of these object, for the diamond has been around for centuries and as large diamonds are mined in either as colorless diamonds or in blues, greens, yellows, and pinks, they get passed from generation to generation and the larger stones speaks volumes in not only beauty, but history as well. Although today diamonds are used as sparkling adornments for diamond engagement rings, diamond wedding bands, diamond pendants, diamond bracelets, and other pieces of diamond jewelry; there are some larger diamond stones that date back to years past.
For instance, take the Hope Diamond, a diamond that has passed hands over centuries and is deemed to bring bad luck. In fact, today the Hope Diamond is housed at the Smithsonian and some can’t help but think that the reason this deep blue diamond was donated to a mueseum is because of the ill fate it was rumored to bring people. There are other large diamonds such as the Conde Pink, the Tiffany Yellow, and so on and so forth that have just as equally interesting legends as the Hope Diamond.
