During the Edwardian era, platinum was the favorite of all precious metals and there was a no holds bar approach to how elaborate or delicate the design in diamond pieces that were made.

The Art Deco era was not an era was named after a King or Queen, but of the art movement that happened during 1920-1939. It was during this period that Jazz was the rage and bold bright colors were seen in paintings everywhere and then in the jewelry designs. Art Deco engagement rings featured bold colored gemstones as the center stones or as side stones.
