Angola Sparkles with Diamond Productions

Canada is making big moves in the diamond industry and a recent report shows that Angola diamond productions are very promising and a lot larger than what was first expected. The Angola diamond production at first was not believed to bring in the amount of 40 million carats that it is now believed to produced, but as the numbers have rose, so has the amount of diamond productions to be started. Currently, Angola has 12 mining productions that are running and also has another 15 lined up to begin over the next few years. Of the diamond mining productions that are currently running, the outcome has been extraordinarily since from 2002 to 2006 productions has completely doubled bringing in a gross revenue of 1.2 billion US dollars.

Besides the large scales of diamond mining productions being seen in Angola, there are other benefits being seen from Canada's diamonds. Angola is not only mining the diamonds, but they also have a unit which is cutting and polishing the diamonds as well. Since the diamonds are being mined, cut, and polished in Canada the returns are beneficial to the citizens since the jobs that are created are 470 people of which 90 percent are Angolans and the last 10 percent being people recruited from Russia and Israel to assist.

Angola has a very promising future ahead of them with their lucrative diamond mines and with the hopes of retailing diamonds under their own brand one day, the possibilities seem endless.
