    Weddings Gone Wrong

Posted By Christina in Wedding Add comments

wedding-cake.jpgYour wedding is supposed to one of the most memorable events of your life, not one that seems to come straight out of a Hollywood nightmare, right? Of course, but unfortunately, not all weddings turn out to be the fairytale dream day that they are planned to be. Take, for instance, the wedding of Samantha.

At this nightmare wedding, Samantha and her sister-in-law-to-be got into a fight. This resulted in the groom telling her to leave if she wasn’t happy, which in turn, upset the groom’s grandfather. The grandfather was so upset that he had a heart attack and an ambulance had to come and take him to the hospital in the middle of the ceremony.

With this, the Samantha’s father and his entire side of the family left the ceremony. Yes, half of her family left in the middle of the wedding! To top it off, a light in the reception hall burned out and melted leaving the entire room in smoke and with a horrible smell. A fight, a heart attack and an electrical fire, what else could go wrong? However, there is a happy ending in that Samantha and her groom did end up married when it was all said and done.

This isn’t the only wedding horror story of late either. In Newburgh, New York, what was supposed to be a beautiful wedding turned into a nuptial nightmare. At this wedding, a dispute over a missing camera turned into a one hundred person brawl that even spilled out into the parking lot of the hotel where the wedding was held. Afterwards, several guests were treated at the hospital for stab wounds and bruises to the face. One woman was stabbed in the leg and the wedding’s disc jockey was stabbed in the back of the neck.

In order to get this wedding back under control, it took 30 of the Newburgh Police to stop the brawl. Over 30 individual fights were broken up amongst the wedding guests and six people were arrested. The police reported that it took two hours to break up the wedding party gone wrong. Amongst the charges filed against those who were arrested included assault, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana.

These two events just go to show that your wedding planner can’t prepare you for everything that could possibly go wrong with your ‘big day.’

So the day of my wedding, my future mother-in-law had a nervous breakdown. Needless to say my wife was trying to control herself and I was freaking out. It’s hard to talk about that day. I wish we were rich, then we could have another wedding day.
