Well laid out plans going wrong is nothing new in this world. In fact, the whole concept of Murphy’s Law is based around errors creeping in at the worst possible moments. Scientists experience this in their labs and common men experience it in their daily lives just when they are about to do something important. Murphy’s Law recently struck a brain surgeon from Florida who just wanted to give his beloved an engagement ring and propose in an innovative manner.
Dr. Steve Carr had been planning to propose to his beloved for a considerable amount of time and wanted the whole thing to be something different. Thus, his plan involved burying the engagement ring in the sand on a beach in Florida, going there with his beloved, and then digging with her. Unfortunately, Murphy struck and all did not go as planned as Dr. Steve Carr went to the beach with his girlfriend but forgot where he had buried the engagement ring. Dr. Carr wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Mary Naam, at Pelican Bay in Florida. The two, who hail from Colorado, were on a holiday.
According to Dr. Carr, he dug around for a few minutes before he realized that he had lost the diamond engagement ring and started to panic. The brilliant doctor, when asked about the incident said that the whole plan was not very smart of him and if a brain surgeon is saying something like this about himself then you know that he is hurting. Dr. Carr further added that he would not recommend such a plan to anyone.
As Dr. Carr could not find the buried engagement ring, he called on for more help. A dozen or so members joined in the dig, with people from the resort staff as well as some from the regular public. After the team searched for some time, Mary Naam showed that she belongs with a brain surgeon by coming up with the brilliant idea to search for ring seekers on the internet.
A couple of hours later, Mary Naam had Larry Spearing fully equipped with a top end metal detector helping her and her ‘fiancé’ out. Even with the experienced Larry Spearing helping the team out, Mary Naam said that despite the fact that they kept on digging, she was not sure that they would find the engagement ring.
However, the engagement ring was found in the end by Larry Spearing in a span of only a few minutes and the smitten Dr. Steve Carr finally got to bend down on a knee and ask Mary Naam to marry him. Dr. Carr specified later that he did not care much about how much he would spend on the whole affair as his prime focus was just on getting engaged to his beloved. Needless to say, after putting in so much effort and seeing her man in so much grief, Mary Naam had to say yes. Mary Naam did say that she felt sorry for Dr. Steve Carr who dug on the beach, in the rain, for around two hours.
