There’s something special about the months of November through February. Did you know that majority of wedding proposals happen at these times? Though there are fewer people who are getting married in December than in June, almost 40 percent of men pop the ultimate question during winter months.

couple_kiss_sun.jpgPerhaps it can be attributed to the cold weather, when further closeness brought on by an engagement can help add more “heat.” But the reasons why many men pick these months for engagement are far beyond passion. First of all, there’s the tendency to be carried away with the holidays, such as Christmas, New Year’s, and, of course, Valentine’s Day. There’s so much fun and love in the air that you’re simply motivated to continue with the feeling. What’s more, there are a lot of people around celebrating during those times, and if you’re brave enough to propose, then you won’t have any problem gathering your witnesses. There’s also the possibility that couples may have to spend the holidays apart. Rather than dampening festive spirits, men may decide to offer an engagement ring, giving her something to look forward to in the next year.

Economically speaking, it’s during these months that prices are relatively low. These include sales on jewelry, including engagement rings. The men can surely come up with adequate money to purchase the most perfect ring for their love. Bonuses are also aplenty, especially at Christmas and New Year, so there’s more cash that they can use perhaps even to organize a small engagement party.
