untitled-113.jpgDiamonds were once used to decorate every piece of jewelry imaginable; rings, bracelets, watches, earrings, bracelets and much more. Over the years, diamonds have been introduced as a way to decorate a number of luxury items. Follow the news of any celebrity and you will likely find that diamonds play a large role in many of the luxury items they purchase. Angelina Jolie reportedly spent several thousand dollars on a diamond encrusted pacifier for her young tot, Shiloh and she is certainly not the only celebrity rumored to splash out on expensive diamond encrusted gadgets and items.

Take a walk down Rodeo drive or any other exclusive shopping area and it is quite easy to find a wide range of diamond encrusted items on which to splurge provided you have the credit limit. One area which has not been addressed until now, however, is the decoration of cell phones with diamonds. Certainly, there have been a number of cell phone covers over the years which have been decorated with sparkly crystals and rhinestones to give off the appearance of diamonds; but these were usually relatively inexpensive items which could be purchased in any kiosk in any mall in America.

Recently, however, it was announced that a diamond encrusted iPhone would be launched by Amosu Luxury Phones. That announcement was followed by news that the company would also be introducing a Blackberry decorated with an astonishing array of 900 diamonds.

Consumers who are always on the lookout for the hottest, coolest, cutting-edge gadget are certain to be interested in the diamond encrusted phones.

untitled-114.jpgIn the event the consumer wishes to upgrade to a newer phone unit, there are no worries about losing out on all of that bling as the diamonds are considered to be recyclable. That’s right. The diamonds from the old unit can be transferred directly into the new unit. The price for this diamond embedded luxury phone begins at only $89,000. The diamond encrusted iPhone is reputed to go for a mere $42,000. The drop in price for the diamond iPhone can be attributed to the fact that it has only 420 diamonds compared to the 900 diamonds that adorn the Blackberry. The diamonds in the iPhone amount to more than 5.6 carats.

Customers can choose whether they want the diamonds on their iPhone to be set in either 18k yellow or white gold. Customers also have the choice of selecting from pink, black or white sapphires if they so desire.

While obviously the average consumer is not going to be able to afford this type of luxury item, it certainly does point to the fact that customers who have the ability to afford luxury items want the best of the best. The phones are primarily marketed for wealthy customers who want a phone that is decidedly different while providing them with the look and feel of true luxury.

If you have the extra money to spend and are dedicated to having the absolute latest and greatest in terms of gadgetry, a cell phone covered in diamonds is certainly one option worth considering.
