World Record Set for Diamond

While large diamonds typically bring in an even larger amount on the auction block, one diamond in particular has broken the record for the amount it brought it when it was recently auctioned. The Carat Blue Diamond broke a 20 year record when it was auctioned in Hong Kong. The blue diamond weighs 6.04 carats and was sold for HK$61.9 million at Sotheby’s.
