An extremely rare blue diamond ring was sold at auction on Monday October 8^th in Hong Kong for a little shy of a cool $8 million. The beautiful emerald cut blue diamond ring weighs in at 6.04 carats and is the rarest blue diamond to be offered since 2004. Blue diamond’s can only be found the South Africa. Since colored diamonds are more rare than their white counterparts, the demand for these colored stones are becoming more and more prevalent as consumers are developing a fashionable appetite for them.
