Known for her luxurious lifestyle, it is little surprise that the arrival of her pearls on the auction block has created just as much interest as the queen when she was alive. The queen gave the string of pearls to a friend for safekeeping one year before her death. The pearls remained in the same family until they were recently auctioned.
