Protect your Diamond Investment with a Second Opinion The Claddagh Ring: A Love Story

greenland.jpgThe large island of Greenland has used the sea to maintain their economy, but as global warming has melted away ice, it seems that Greenland has more to offer than its fish, with sources of gold, diamonds, platinum, and nickel as well. Greenland is seeing many changes as one of their biggest exploration teams, NunaMinerals, focuses on the land while reaching out to the worlds third largest mineral exploration company, Rio Tinto, for financial help for their 1 diamond concession, 1 platinum concession, 6 gold concessions, 5 nickel concessions, and 2 tungsten concessions.

It will be a year before Rio Tinto will send out their mineral experts to each one of the mineral concessions already in place by NunaMinerals in Greenland, but this does not mean that the hopes have not been set high. The land of Greenland is very similar to the open passage in Canada, which has proven plentiful in diamonds. This has caused a debate amongst the people of Greenland as to whether or not they should become independent from Denmark. Greenland has relied on Denmark for quite some time, but with the possibility of mining diamonds, gold, and nickel, they may finally have the means to maintain their economy independently.

The richness of minerals such as gold, platinum, and diamond is not an overnight discovery, but instead the result of five years of research of the kimberlite in the area. Over the past few years, kimberlite has been more commonly found in Greenland, and with the help of the melted snow it is now easier for exploration to be performed in the areas that researchers believe are rich in gold and diamonds.
