The Sao Luis Mining company was test mining in Brazil when they discovered several new diamond sources. Approximately 880.50 carats were mined from 1016 cubic meters of gravel. The four largest diamonds that were discovered in the mine were 7.33, 4.76, 6.98 and 4.45 carats. Other large diamonds were discovered by the company earlier in the year that weighed 6.5 and 10.2 carats. This information was released via the Diamond World Magazine on October 1, 2007 and the company is going to continue their test mining in Brazil in November due to these findings.
