Hollywood gossip was through the roof on the night of the 2013 Grammy’s; the juiciest bit being the news of Rihanna and Chris Brown. With Rihanna in her stylish red gown with a see-through top and Chris in his snazzy white suit, the back and forth couple gave everyone on the red carpet a run for their money. If her dress wasn’t scandalous enough for the red carpet event, showing up with the boyfriend who was arrested for beating her in 2009 sure was. The two were rather cozy throughout the evening, but the ring on Rhianna’s finger was the first real shocker. The second shocker came later on in the night.
Beyond Belief
It took no time for the Twitterverse to point out the ring. The question on everyone’s mind was: are they really engaged? The ring, with several small diamonds, might be an engagement ring or a promise ring. The idea of Rhianna being engaged to the man who once gave her a black eye is not something her fans wanted to contemplate. If it was just a “promise” ring, maybe it’s a promise that Chris will behave himself from now on.
Picture Perfect Night?
The couple seemed blissful throughout the evening. During the awards, Rihanna performed a rendition of Stay which was surely meant for Chris who gave her a standing ovation. After the awards, the two were seen driving through the streets to an after Grammy’s party in Brown’s orange Lamborghini. It seemed that life was good for these two lovebirds, but was it good enough to take them down the aisle? Rhianna has more than a few fans hoping the engagement falls through; refusing to believe that she would marry the man who beat her.
The Truth Comes Out
The biggest shocker of the night has come out today; with reports that Chris and Rihanna actually split up on the night of the Grammy’s. Brown apparently caught Rhianna messaging Drake, whom Rihanna had reportedly hooked up with once before while she was dating Brown. The two spent Valentine’s Day apart and do not appear to be speaking with one another. The rumor mill is a flurry with questions and suspicions. Are Rihanna and Chris done for good? Rihanna’s fans probably hope so, but time will only tell if the ring, and the relationship are back on.
