Let us imagine an elegant bride at her lavish wedding. It is a day dedicated to her and her union to the man of her dreams. She is in an elegant white gown with features so elaborate that it takes the bride a length of time to even get into it. She is now dressed and ready to make that promise of commitment and loyalty to her fiancé by exchanging beautiful diamond wedding bands. The wedding is about to start and as she is walking out of the room it hits her… She has to use the restroom. Unfortunately, there is no time because the wedding is about to start and she has to go.
Now to some of us imagining this scenario we think “Oh No!” but there is no reason to feel that way because this bride has a backup plan… a bridal diaper!! Yes you heard correct, according to Anne Chertoff there is a possible new trend going on among brides who think it is too time consuming to take off there wedding gowns just so they can pee. Although Jennette Kruszak, director of marketing/PR at Kleinfeld Bridal, says that they have not witnessed a trend for these bridal diapers, there are still women who choose to be safe than sorry.
Chertoff further found on a bridal blog that a bridal salon suggested that a woman wear a bridal diaper considering it takes 20 minutes to get in and out of her wedding gown. The diaper would be her security blanket if she doesn’t manage to get out of her wedding gown in time. Or maybe a bride would choose to wear a bridal diaper simply because she does not want to miss any precious moments of her wedding.
Many of us might view this as incredibly silly but there are many other wedding trends that might be considered even sillier! For example, many weddings tend to have themes. Although themes are great for a five-year-old’s birthday party, some couples feel the want to have a themed wedding. For example, some couples choose to have cartoon theme weddings. Instead of a traditional wedding, many couples choose to have weddings based around their favorite cartoon show. Some other crazy themes include history weddings where the wedding revolves around a specific era that the couple likes. Also, there have been circus themes and holiday themes for weddings. Many couples have chosen to do Elvis themed weddings as well as the ever so popular theme of star trek.
Bridal diapers would not seem as such an odd idea if you examine the variety of things people do for their weddings. For example, many people choose interesting and odd locations to have their weddings. One couple chose to get married in a borders book store because they originally met there during a writing group. The borders wedding, however, can’t compare to the craziness of a diving wedding where people can actually get married underwater using special hand signals. There are also opportunities for couples to exchange their vows in flight on a private plane. It is said that they get married on the plane due to their love for flying. All of these wedding locations are just a few of the crazy things about some weddings.
After looking at the many crazy and humorous wedding themes and locations there is no surprise that some brides might choose to wear a bridal diaper. It seems that when you think it can’t get any crazier, it does! Different wedding themes and locations vary between different people. With that being said, a bridal diaper might not be your cup of tea but somewhere out there a bride thinks it’s a great idea. After all, better be safe than sorry!

Technology has made it very easy for anyone to share his or her private lives with everyone around the world. One innovative couple has even found a way to have a Twitter alternative wedding for all those online friends that couldn’t come in person. For Greg and Stephanie Rewis, the idea to go online and public seemed a natural extension of their lives, starting with the surprise Twitter engagement.

Two hikers that strayed unwittingly into Iranian territory while hiking in neighboring Iraq were detained by Iranian authorities along with a third man on accusations of spying on Iran. However, love seems to have blossomed in the unlikeliest of places since Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd have gotten engaged while in prison and plan to marry once they are released and possibly back on friendlier soil.

It’s not a crime to dream big, unless you’re using someone else’s money to fund your dreams! Luxurious weddings may be the norm for jet setters and large celebrity events, but even ordinary people long to throw a big bash that can impress their friends and provide memories for a lifetime. That temptation to splurge can be over-powering for some people, who look for ways to have their big dream even if they can’t afford it. If the event comes with a huge price tag, what can a struggling worker do these days? If you’re
