A wedding is such a special day, that it can take many month of planning ahead to make it perfect. Brides sometimes spend so much time picking out the dress that they leave the accessorizing with diamond jewelry to the last minute. That is a big mistake. Accessorizing your look can bring it up to a very dramatic level that puts your personal stamp on the ceremony. Here are a few things to remember when you are planning your big day and want to take care of the small details of accessorizing long before the big day arrives.
Be Bold!
Your jewelry is going to compete with the wedding dress, which is high drama all on its own. If you use very dainty pieces, they may not be even noticed since a wedding dress is such a show-stopper. Take into account the type of hair do you are going to have, and opt for jewelry that complements it. Large, drop earrings, with an upswept hairstyle can really give your look the wow factor. A single large statement necklace can also be just the ticket to show off a low neckline or off-the-shoulder styled gown.

Wedding fashion has not always dictated that a bride has to wear white. Traditions like the white gown and engagement rings have evolved over time. Pre-1900s there were still many brides who wore all sorts of colors for their wedding, including blue and red. In fact, many marriage customs varied by country so that one bride wore in one country could be completely inappropriate in another country. It wasn’t until the mid 1800s that Queen Victoria of England popularized the now modern white wedding dress and it became a tradition later on as it caught on.

Getting married is one of the most exciting times in a person’s life, regardless of their financial situation or the overall expense put forth for their nuptials. When they walk down the aisle, they feel the excitement and relief that they will spend the rest of their lives together in wedded bliss. Although the facts remain that many marriages end in divorce, the wedding day is certainly not the day to even consider that notion, especially as you prepare and the soon to be wife gazes at her splendid engagement ring. The planning and execution that is necessary for a wedding cannot be ignored as it can take thousands of dollars and lots of help that can be costly. There are ways to cut costs on wedding planning by using all of the free resources available. It may take you quite a bit more time and cause more stress, but sometimes it is necessary to make such sacrifices to save money in the long run that you can use in other areas of your planning. Online websites have information to help you get the best deals and ideas for the best options to cut costs without sacrificing the quality of the day.
Sometimes all the planning you perform pays off in an amazing day that you will never forget. Other times, there are things that are out of your control that cannot be avoided. Inclement weather is one issue that cannot be avoided. Picking a season that has few rain days may your best bet overall, but you cannot control the weather, all you can do is hope that the weather stays nice for your glorious day. After all that planning, it would be a shame to have to cancel for reasons that are out of your control. Health issues can derail a wedding as well. Recently, a couple had to get married using a technological advancement in order to get over a serious problem that could have derailed their plans to wed. Samuel Kim, the groom to be, came down with a lung infection just days before the ceremony and knew he would be confined to a hospital room for a short duration, completely interfering with their wedding plans, but instead of panicking, the couple decided to use Skype to make their wedding day a reality.
Although not ideal, the wedding went off, just not as exactly planned. The bride to be still walked down the aisle, but she exchanged nuptials with Samuel using a video chat program called Skype. This way, Samuel could be at the wedding while remaining where he needed to be for his health condition. Of course, it would have been ideal if the two could have been together for this amazing event, but they knew that their love was strong and that they could deal with the situation and make it a happy, love-filled day. So many people are ingenious and this is simply one occurrence of this kind of thought. Many people use traditional methods and do not think out of the box, but the Kim’s certainly had the forethought to make things that they wanted to happen, regardless of what it took.

We love weddings. We love being invited to weddings. Television is full of reality shows dedicated to either the ordeal of buying or being fitted for bridal dresses; shows with brides displaying bad manners or couples setting up wedding for other couples. We have adapted to the idea of drive-through wedding chapels in Las Vegas with Elvis impersonators and the exchange of vows in scuba gear. Our consumerism has reached now a new point where it has become acceptable to have weddings at such places as Wal-Mart and Home Depot.

Weddings are planned over months and the big day is anticipated during this period even while the bride and groom are stressing over the many details that they must pay careful attention to leading up to the grand event. There are many considerations from the cake they choose to the tuxes that the groom and groomsmen wear on the big day. The choosing of the place where they will exchange vows and the reception area are also two main categories that obviously will not go unnoticed, as they are two main pieces of the wedding puzzle. Sometimes, little things come up missing or plans have to change quickly, on the fly with little notice. The diamond rings needed are something that some couples forget until the last minute as the engagement ring is obviously been chosen and is worn by the bride-to-be the whole time they are planning.

This may be the longest matchmaking session, spanning 24 years. If the engagement ring had been designed back then, it might as well have been a symbolic eternal love jewelry piece that commemorated not just the engaged couple, but the mothers who had a dream to marry their children to each other. The idea hit expectant mothers sharing a hospital room and birthing on the same day, to stay in touch and try to nudge their children together.

The British nation and the entire world watched and celebrated the wedding of the century when Lady Diana Spencer married HRH Prince of Wales at the Saint Paul’s Cathedral back on July 29, 1981.
Thirty years later another royal engagement has been announced. Not that there hasn’t been any for 30 years but this one will be just as special. Many are feeling nostalgic about the time when Diana first stepped shyly into the public arena. Lady Di’s dresses have been on exhibits round the world ever since her tragic death in August 1997, but new interest sparked with the recent events within the Palace regarding Kate and Diana’s son William. Many are guessing and speculating if Kate perhaps will wear a similar, but more modern wedding gown in remembrance to her iconic mother-in-law since she is already wearing Princess Diana’s engagement ring. The famous sapphire engagement ring, surrounded by 14 small diamonds has raised some concern amongst the population. Although it is understandable as to why William would give Kate his beloved mother’s ring, which holds so many sentimental values to him, others might view this as somewhat of an omen. Many remember how ill-fated the marriage between Diana and Charles was, the separation and divorce, and ask themselves if wearing that particular engagement ring would be appropriate.
