If I could chose any jewelry piece on the site, I would create a diamond ring for my mother! I would chose a platinum channel band and an emerald shaped diamond. The band would have the "six shining baguette cut diamonds that step down from the center stone to reveal a delicate etched pattern reaching down the tapered sides of the ring" for an art deco feel. The diamond I would chose would be at least 1.5 to 2 carats so she could really show it off. She has never had a lot of jewelry and does not wear earrings, necklaces or bracelets. I would give this ring to her for either her birthday or for Mother's Day. To be really funny, I would wrap it up in some milkbone decorated paper and say it was from her two dogs! Both were rescued from dire circumstances (both were homeless -one due to a fire, the other we don't know) and they are both so loving and grateful to have a nice loving home. I'm sure if they could they would tell my mom she is a diamond herself.

I would choose the most classic jewelry I can imagine: the .50 total carat weight round cut diamond stud earrings. They shine like stars in the night and they are an essential cornerstone of every woman's collection. The person I would give these earrings to is my daughter Carrera. She's only a toddler now, but I would save these earrings to give her on her Sweet 16 birthday as she starts the long road to adulthood.

If I could choose any jewelry piece from the Abazias collection to give away, I'd choose the channel Set Princess Wedding Band - 1/2 (ct. tw). The stock number on the Abazias website for this band is WBL-18-5591. I purchased my loose diamond from Abazias for a ring that has similar stones, given to me by my grandmother. This would be a surprise since I didn't have the money to purchase the wedding band to go with the ring at the time. My plan would be as follows: I'd book a reservation for a nice restaurant and show alone up well before our dinner reservations to drop off the band to the manager. I'd make sure to book the most romantic table in the restaurant but one that was in view of other patrons. Once we show up and are sat by the host or hostess, one of the wait staff will come over to our table and ask if we'd like to hear the specials for tonight. I'll answer "yes". He or she will list the special and then ask my fiancé if she wishes to see the final special of the night. When my fiancé says yes, the waitperson will take the box with the band that he/she has been hiding on a small silver platter from behind his/her back and say, "there are not more specials as perfect as you tonight ma'am". With the ring box open showing the wedding band, I'd get on one knee and say, "Every morning I wake with you, I feel like I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. With this band, I ask you to marry me again and I ask now not only for your hand but also for your eternity."

My sister cried as she told me that her purse was stolen from her shopping cart at the grocery store. What a nightmare, in one innocent moment, everything she treasured was GONE -- forever. Unfortunately, her favorite earrings were in her purse and lost them too. My gift would be a gorgeous set of stud diamond earrings to replace the set she lost. I would wrap it beautifully and hide it in a plain brown paper bag to surprise her. I want to replace her awful experience with a wonderful gift from Abazias.
