It all started last year one morning while I was walking on the beach at Ocean Park in Puerto Rico. When I saw her or perhaps she saw me (we will never know) it was magic, our eyes collided and for a while the world appeared to be stop. We chit chat like for one minute and coincidentally, my mother and her mother and sister are name Martha, Herself and my sister are named the same. Both of our fathers are Leo's and we are both, Acuarious. One minute latter we were kissing each other and no one esle mattered. The day turned into night in a matter of seconds and we could not believed what was going on. It was almost midnight and she needed to go back to her parents so we gave eachother's numbers so we could plan something for the next day. On my celphone she wrote my wife and on her celphone I wrote my husband.

After a little while we both know this relationship was diferent, good, and for the rest of our lives.

So out of nowhere one day I decided to surprise her. I made the arreangement to take her to La Romana @ Casa de Campo at the Dominican Replublic for the weekend where I intended to proposed. And I did, in front of everybody at one of the Restaurants at La Marina. She got very excited and between tears accepted. At that precise moment I thought I was the luckyest man alive. People from the three Restaurants that converged over there started to send their greetings and we ended up having the greatest engagement party ever. Love was all around us and the place was fill with couples like us full of love. It was really wonderfull.

To weeks later we anounced our formal engagement, which of corse needed to the done in order to obtain her father blessing. Nothing to warry about since like it turn out, he is now like a father to me.

The month after that, we were getting married in Purto Rico and went afterwards on a favulous honneymoon to Italy.

If we have to go back and review everything we did, we would have to say that the tone for this perfect events that went afterwards rebolves around the general state of mind set forth at our engagement at Casa de Campo, and for that, we think we were truly blessed.

Hello Abazias!!
Here is our proposal story…

My fiancée Jaime and I spent almost our entire courtship in a long distance relationship... Jaime was a behavior analyst working in the Tampa bay area (where we met), while I was a Coast Guard helicopter pilot stationed on the Florida panhandle. I would make the 14 hour round-trip drive as often as possible to see her, and when not together we spent hour after hour on the phone (many times until sunrise!). Soon enough, the time came when I spoke with her dad, and asked his permission to let me devote my eternal love to her and ask for her hand in marriage. Jaime's mom and dad both helped me with my plans for the proposal...

Jaime’s parents asked her to go to the beach on the Friday of mothers day weekend for dinner and to watch the sunset. I had told Jaime I wasn’t able to make it down that weekend because of work. She called me from the beach to tell me she wished I was there, and how beautiful it was… she had no idea that I was actually right around the corner, just finishing the long drive down to see her! I secretly showed up to the beach cabana bar her family was at after talking to her dad on the phone who said it was safe for me to sneak in. Jaime was on the beach off in the distance when I appeared, oblivious to me standing there. She was barefoot down next to the water being cute and goofy, twirling around in her white beach dress while her mother was taking pictures. She looked so incredibly beautiful. Jaime’s dad had his video camera set up and running while a bunch of Jaime’s friends showed up to the bar too, also a part of the surprise for when I finished asking her the big question!

The sun was setting as I took a deep breath and walked towards Jaime, finally out in the open on the beach. She froze for a moment with a shocked look on her face, then beamed a huge smile while running up to me for a gigantic hug. She was totally surprised I was there to visit and couldn’t believe I kept it a secret from her. We stood right at the water’s edge, with a perfect sunset taking place right behind us as the expression changed on her face… she said, “Are you here why I think you're here?!!!” I smiled and replied, "And what would that be for?"… and slowly knelt down in front of her, professing my love to her forever, and as the sun finished setting I asked her the ultimate question… “Will you marry me?”
She said “YES!” as I held her hand and slid the diamond ring onto her finger. She pulled me off my knees and we shared a long kiss. Moments later we turned around and realized that we had drawn quite a crowd, and were loosely surrounded by a host of cheering beachgoers. We looked up and saw floor upon floor of hotel guests who were also cheering from their balconies! We turned back toward the small beach bar as Jaime’s family and her friends appeared from hiding to clap and whistle at us! We walked over to join everyone and had so much fun with everyone the rest of the night… it could not have worked out more perfectly or been more beautiful. We spent the night at a hotel on the beach… and now 10 months later our wedding is right around the corner on April 20th!

Thank you Abazias for the wonderful diamond you sold to me for Jaime’s engagement ring… she is complimented on a DAILY basis on how beautiful it is and I frequently get questions on where I purchased it from. I speak very highly of your company and our transaction, and greatly appreciate your top notch customer service, quality, and the best value around.
Sincerely,
Michael Gillham (and soon to be Jaime Gillham!)

Never Ending Dessert

My fiancée was graduating college. What a monumental day. Being the romantic that I am, I decided well before hand to make it even more astounding. Her parents, along with others of her family, flew in to Texas from Seattle on a Friday. I had already made plans with her mother to make sure I would have time for a "man to man" talk with her father. I asked his permission for her hand in marriage and shared with him my feelings about his daughter that night. The next day was her graduation, YAY! That night her family, along with mine, took her to the nicest restaurant in town to celebrate. This is where it would all take place. I went in early to make the necessary preparations. My father brought the video camera to secretly tape the whole thing without her knowledge, so that we could share that memory forever. At the end of the meal I had the waiter bring out a dessert tray. He brought it out next to my soon to be fiancée and went around the tray describing each dessert. At the end of the tray was the last item, a well made napkin with a surprise underneath. As he got to it, he simply said "and this last piece we have here, I think he can describe better than me." At that moment he took the napkin off, revealing the brilliant white ring box. I took it from the tray and went down on a knee. The rest is history. The whole family was there and able to share that special moment with us, and we have it all on tape to always look back at. An unforgettable meal for us all, at an inexpensive price.

The date is set for August 4th, 2007
Sincerely,
Raymond Taylor & Karin Erickson (Taylor)
